Below is the video from Tuesday’s webinar on teaching remotely with CI. In the video, I present some principals and a few specific programs that have been useful for me. In short . . .
- Do what you normally do:
- For me it’s jokes, trivia questions, songs, stories, videos, personal questions and cultural readings.
- Reduce the amount:
- For me it’s 10-20 minutes each day.
- Record it:
- I use Screencast-o-matic.
- Make sure students watch it:
- I try to get students to buy in.
- I use Google Forms, EdPuzzle and Flipgrid.
- Trust the input
I just watched the webinar – so much awesome information! Thank you so much for taking the time to put this together. One question: I was very intrigued by the font you use on your title slides!!!! Which program/website do you use to customize your font that way (it says “Espanol” with a Spanish/Hispanic theme)? Muchas gracias!
It’s not a font but rather an image I found here: https://www.twinkl.com/resource/es-t-mfl-012-spanish-title-display-lettering-spanish.
